ANZ and Cisco unveil TelePresence

(26 March 2012 – Australia) Video conferencing technology in conjunction with Cisco is in use by ANZ after a four month trial, the TelePresence system enables wealth management clients to meet with staff remotely. ANZ Private & ANZ Trustees is introducing its 'Wealth Presence' service in Brisbane, Sydney, Newcastle, Adelaide, Melbourne and Perth.

The service is based on Cisco's TelePresence technology, which combines ultra-high definition video, spatial audio, specially designed meeting rooms and interactive elements to create what the vendor claims is an immersive, lifelike 'virtual meeting' experience.

Wealth Presence will make it more efficient and convenient for clients to have life-size face-to-face meetings with experts, suiting their schedules and location, says the bank.

ANZ Private Wealth managing director, Catherine McDowell, said: 'As ANZ Private & ANZ Trustees places strong importance on building relationships with clients, we believe the realistic face-to-face experience Wealth Presence creates is a natural extension of this and transforms the flexibility and convenience of the client experience.'
