ANZ appoints lead economist

ANZ appoints lead economist

(29th September 2010 – Australia) Ivan Colhoun has been appointed lead economist of ANZ’s Australian team, including property and capital markets research. Mr Colhoun was formerly chief economist and head of global markets research for Australia and New Zealand at Deutsche Bank and more recently has held the role of chief economist at Qantas.

As well as the lead role at Qantas, Mr Colhoun was an economics consultant to the international Air Transport Association and Virgin Blue Holdings.

Mr Colhoun will begin his role with ANZ on October 5 and will be based in Sydney, reporting to ANZ chief economist, Australia, Warren Hogan.
