ANZ boosts trade expertise

ANZ boosts trade expertise

(27 August 2004 – Australia) ANZ has appointed Tim Utama as head of the bank’s Trade Service Delivery within its Trade and Transaction Services division. Utama will take charge of ANZ’s trade operations business, including its international global network of customer service centres and the bank’s TradeCentrix trade document processing centre.

Utama has joined ANZ from Standard Chartered’s Singapore office.

ANZ managing director of Trade and Transaction Services, Mark Paton, said Utama’s knowledge of trade, operational management and the Asian markets added another perspective to the business.

"Our trade processing technology leads the market and has been successfully implemented throughout ANZ’s global network, enabling customers’ internet accessible documentary services," Paton said.

"Over the last 18 months we have been reshaping and positioning our trade business to be a dominant regional player. Tim’s appointment is another step toward achieving this goal," he said.
