ANZ commits to convenience
(21 September 2007 – Australia) ANZ has announced a series of new initiatives for the next three years to maintain the commitment to be ‘Australia’s most convenient bank’.
ANZ announced a seven point plan which covers the areas of ATMs, branches, service and the internet.
Brian Hartzer, group managing director, ANZ Personal Division, said that he believes there is still more to do for their customers and it is time to raise the bar and extend ANZ’s point of difference.
He said that ANZ is committed to making investments with a focus on the things that customers have said are important - convenience, simplicity and responsibility.
The plan covers the establishment of seven day per week full service banking in every capital city and selected regional areas and 50 ‘Local Link’ agencies in rural towns.
The plan also covers more services in branches, with specialist small business bankers available in every branch and specialist premium bankers initially across metropolitan Australia.
ANZ has also planned to set up more ATM’s than any major bank, around the clock internet support and a new online banking guarantee.
