ANZ funds base facility for Santos
(17 March 2006 – Indonesia) ANZ has underwritten and arranged a US$65 million borrowing base facility for Santos’ oil and gas assets in Indonesia.
The bank said its framework facility would allow Santos to add and subtract fields for its facility as the company’s financial requirements changed.
ANZ associate director of Project Finance Brad Sterley said the complexities of a multiple asset financing within Indonesia’s legal framework required a high level of structuring.
The bank said the arrangement with Santos, which is an Australian oil and gas exploration and production company, was a demonstration of ANZ’s commitment to Asia and boosted its natural resources capabilities in the region.
