ANZ leaves SVR at 6.6%

ANZ leaves SVR at 6.6%

(12 November 2012 – Australia) ANZ Banking Group has decided to leave its variable mortgage interest rates unchanged in its November review on Friday. 'Despite intense competition for business deposits, variable small business lending rates will also remain unchanged,' ANZ said in a statement on Friday.

ANZ's decision follows the Reserve Bank of Australia's call to leave the cash rate unchanged at 3.25 percent on Melbourne Cup day.

The bank's standard variable interest rate remains at 6.6 percent, the same as Commonwealth Bank of Australia’s rate and above National Australia Bank's 6.58 percent.

Westpac's standard variable rate is 6.71 percent.
