ANZ net platform for businesses

(19 May 2008 – Australia) ANZ has launched an internet banking platform specifically for businesses, separating from the existing retail internet banking platform. ANZ managing director, Business Banking, Daryl Johnson said the new Internet Banking platform aimed to provide business with online banking that was simple to use, highly secure and competitively-priced.

He said that the internet banking platform was created to suit the customer, by combining greater security and functionality with a strong focus on convenience and simplicity.

He added that the end intent is to let businesses focus on more important things like growing their business.

ANZ’s new platform for businesses, dubbed ANZ Internet Banking for Business, includes features such as two factor authentication, additional daily payment limits and the ability to transfer files between accounting systems and the internet banking platform.

Mr Johnson said the launch of Internet Banking for Business was part of ANZ’s overall strategy to improve the online environment for customers across the Group which began with a new look ANZ website in March.

According to ANZ, the next wave of changes to ANZ’s online banking will focus on providing tailored security solutions for Personal, Corporate and Institutional customers in coming months.
