ANZ reshuffles senior execs

ANZ reshuffles senior execs

(20 March 2007 – Australia) ANZ has announced a raft of senior executive changes in Institutional, Private Banking and General Counsel. Michael Saadie has moved from managing director of ANZ Private Bank, a position he has held since 2005, to MD for Asia. He will report to ANZ group MD, Institutional, Steve Targett.

Mark Ellis has replaced Saadie as MD of the Private Bank, and will report to Senior MD Bob Edgar.

Ellis has moved from his previous position as MD, Europe and the Americas. This position has now been filled by Tim L’Estrange who will also report to Targett.

L’Estrange joined ANZ from Allens Arthur Robinson in 2003 and was previously ANZ group general counsel and company secretary.

ANZ have not yet found a replacement for L’Estrange.

David Hornery will be returning to Australia after two years in the role of MD, Asia. The bank will announce a new role for him.
