ANZ strengthens markets research expertise
(16 August 2005 – Australia) ANZ has appointed Warren Hogan as head of Markets Research.
His role will be to lead and build up the bank’s Markets team of Currency and Fixed Income strategists and credit analysts to develop research products and services that will assist customers in risk management and decision making.
Hogan joined ANZ as senior economist, Financial Markets, from Credit Suisse First Boston where he worked as chief economist and head of interest rate economic research.
Reporting to joint managing director of Markets, Mark Whelan, and chief economist, Saul Eslake, Hogan will manage and coordinate ANZ’s Markets strategic research with responsibility for economics and forecasting.
Whelan said Hogan’s appointment would ensure ANZ maintained its reputation for the quality of its research.
