ANZ to pay A$7 million over personal loan contracts

ANZ to pay A$7 million over personal loan contracts

(Australia) - ANZ Banking Group has agreed to pay A$7 million in fines and compensation for legal breaches on around 200,000 personal loan contracts dating from 1996. The settlement was negotiated by the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal.

Borrowers will receive repayments of A$1.65 million while A$5.25 million will be paid to Consumer Credit Funds.
