Bank of India on the march

(3 August 2005 – India) Bank of India is embarking on an ambitious expansion program both in its home market and overseas. The bank is set to open new branches in Belgium, Tanzania and Qatar and is upgrading representative offices in China and Vietnam to full branch status.

Bank of India will also add a further 25 to 30 branches in India to its current number of 2,594.

The bank said it is aiming to grow its business to more than US$36 billion by the end of this financial year, with the focus on the SME and agribusiness segments.
