BankWest restructures commercial division in WA
(20 February 2007 – Australia) BankWest has appointed David Thomas as Central Regional manager for its Commercial division in Western Australia.
Thomas has joined the bank from Rabobank where he was state manager for Business Banking in WA. He has also worked for Westpac and NAB during his career.
The appointment is part of a restructure aimed at growing the bank’s commercial banking division in WA with an emphasis on industry specialisation.
Thomas will join BankWest Southern Regional manager Kieron Gubbins, and Northern Regional manager, Damien Otto, who will head up the bank’s commercial division in Perth under the direction of Commercial Business state manager, Andrew Tolj.
BankWest said its Commercial division had grown more than 30 percent in 2006.
