BankWest to refer to Allianz Finance

BankWest to refer to Allianz Finance

(26 September 2008 – Australia) BankWest and Allianz Finance have announced that they will form a referral relationship in providing debtor finance products. Under the referral deal, BankWest, the local arm of newly acquired HBOS, will refer all its new debtor finance customers to Allianz Finance.

Also, all existing BankWest debtor finance clients will be moved to Allianz over the next two months.

BankWest national director of international trade finance, Tony McCabe, highlighted the importance of the move in the current economic climate.

McCabe said that given the current challenging economic conditions, BankWest is confident that additional benefits such as bad-debt insurance will also appeal to new and existing business customers.

Further, he said that it was paramount to select a partner who would continue to deliver high service levels to BankWest customers and provide the peace of mind that goes with partnering a local Australian company that's part of a strong global brand.

Allianz Finance chief executive, Brad Bartlem, noted Allianz Finance’s reasoning for the relationship.

He said that with the growing turmoil in the global credit markets, Allianz Finance wanted to play a part in helping Australian companies facilitate growth through the provision of dependable cash-flow funding.
