Bendigo Bank grows ATM network

Bendigo Bank grows ATM network

(4 March 2010 – Australia) Bendigo Bank has announced the opening of its 1000th ATM at the institution’s franchised Coleraine Community Bank in Victoria’s west, as the bank awaits regulatory approval on a proposed ATM sharing agreement with Suncorp Bank. Coleraine Community Bank Branch Chair, Coralie Coulson, said the new 24-hour ATM provided Coleraine residents with access to their money where and when they need it.

Bendigo and Adelaide Bank’s Senior Manager Business Development, Nathan Turley, said the milestone highlights considerable growth in the bank’s ATM network.

Mr Turley added that Bendigo is currently working to further develop its ATM network through a proposed agreement with Suncorp Bank and hopes to double the banks’ ATM numbers giving customers access to more than 2000 machines by the end of June.

Under the partnership customers will benefit from the collective strength of both networks, Mr Turley highlighted.

The proposed ATM sharing agreement is currently awaiting regulatory and legal approvals.
