BNP announce new Singapore CEO

(2 September 2016 – Singapore) BNP Paribas Investment Partners has announced Christian Bucaro as its chief executive officer for Singapore.

The bank said he lwill replace Puay-Lit Tan effective immediately. According to a statement from BNP, Tan, who joined the firm in November 2013, has taken time off to pursue his personal interests.

Bucaro has been the head of private wealth for BNP Paribas Investment Partners, Asia-Pacific, since January 2014. He will report to Ligia Torres, head of Asia Pacific, and Tino Moorrees, head of Asia sales.

He will oversee the bank's Singapore business interests and drive its local strategy across all client groups as well as manage its multi-asset solutions space.

He joined the French bank in 2005 in Italy and has held several senior roles in London and in Singapore since 2012.
