BNP Paribas agrees cooperation deal in China
(20 January 2005 – China) BNP Paribas has inked a deal with the China Export & Credit Insurance Corporation (CECIC) that will see the two parties cooperating on business matters.
BNP Paribas and CECIC will work together on trade finance, export credit insurance and supplying credit and finance on sales of businesses.
The two sides will set up a steering committee to oversee the arrangement.
Both parties said the deal was purely about working together on business issues and that there would be no cooperation on equity.
