BNP Paribas Appoints New Transaction Banking Heads in India, Southeast Asia.

(22 November 2022 – India) BNP Paribas appoints Rupa Balsekar as head of transaction banking, Southeast Asia, and Shreeram Sethuraman as head of transaction banking, India, according to a statement, effective January 1 next year.

Balsekar will be responsible for leading the SEA transaction banking teams in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam to deliver the bank’s 2025 strategic plan, focusing on revenue growth, digitalization and sustainability. She will report hierarchically to BNP Paribas Regional Head for SEA, Joris Dierckx,  and functionally to BNP Paribas Head of Transaction Banking for Asia Pacific, Chye Kin Wee.

Balsekar joined BNP Paribas 15 years ago and has been heading India transaction banking since 2015. Sethuraman joined BNP Paribas in 2018 as its head of financial institutions coverage, India.
