BNP Paribas Securities Services opens Melbourne office

BNP Paribas Securities Services opens Melbourne office

(2 November 2004 – Australia) BNP Paribas Securities Services has officially cut the ribbon at its Melbourne office, meaning the business now has a presence in Sydney, Melbourne and Wellington. The expansion means that most Melbourne based customer relationships will be run locally rather than out of the Sydney office.

The custody and investment administration business has won contracts with Master Superannuation Fund and the Office of the Protective Commissioner over recent weeks.

BNP Paribas managing director Francois Cristofari said the bank was committed to the Melbourne market and that it was a strong supporter of Melbourne’s future growth.

BNP Paribas Securities Services managing director Gail Burke said the business was growing through winning clients and investing in people and technology at a time when its major competitors were down sizing.
