BoA announces global head
(8 June 2010 – USA) Bank of America has announced the appointment of George Sherman as the firm’s chief technology officer global banking and markets, and global commercial banking businesses.
Mr Sherman will be responsible for the businesses strategy, architecture, design and build, operations, product management, and project delivery of the technology infrastructure.
The new chief technology officer joins Bank of America from Morgan Stanley, where as well as being the single point of accountability for the delivery of technology infrastructure to the Americas, he also held the role of managing director and chief technology officer of the Americas enterprise.
Beginning his role in September Mr Sherman will report to the bank’s overall chief technology officer Marc Gordon.
Mr Sherman’s role will be to build on the bank’s efforts strengthening technology alignment with its lines of business to serve customers and clients.
