BOQ director retires

BOQ director retires

(27 November 2009 – Australia) Bank of Queensland has announced the retirement of Peter Fox from its Board of Directors. In a joint statement by Mr Fox and the board’s chairman Neil Summerson the pair said the retirement would be effective by end of business Wednesday, 25th November 2009.

Mr Fox also currently serves as the executive chairman of Fox Holding Group, director of the Alfred Foundation and is a member of the Australian Graduate School of Management Advisory Council at the University of New South Wales.

Mr Fox was appointed a director of the Bank of Queensland in 2001 and has held a variety of other roles within the bank, including serving on the Budget Review Committee and various investment committees.

His career with the Linfox Group for spans 22 years and after a diverse career within the organisation he was appointed, in chronological order, national fleet manager, executive officer, and director of Linfox Pty Ltd, culminating in his appointment as executive chairman of Fox Group Holdings in 1994.

Peter Fox said that he is retiring from the board to concentrate on the strategic expansion of the Linfox group.
