Brian Walsh moves from AFL to NAB

(24 August 2011 – Australia) Former AFL spokesman Brian Walsh has been appointed as the new public relations and corporate affairs head for National Australia Bank (NAB). Walsh, a former Herald Sun reporter, will take over following former NAB corporate affairs supremo George Wright recently moving to the role of Australian Labor Party national secretary in May.

NAB has long standing links with the Australian Football League. The bank is the AFL's Community Partner, sponsoring programs such as Auskick and the pre-season NAB Cup.

Mr Walsh is expected to take on the role from October, after the 2011 finals.
