Cameron to replace McKerihan as St George CFO

(16 May 2007 – Australia) St George has appointed Michael Cameron as chief financial officer, replacing Steve McKerihan who leaves the bank in July to take a position in the Anglican Church. Cameron will join St George in July from Commonwealth Bank where he is currently group executive of Retail and part of CBA’s executive committee.

Cameron joined CBA in 2002 as deputy chief financial officer before becoming CFO in March 2003. Before joining CBA he worked at National Australia Bank and MLC when it was part of Lend Lease.

St George managing director and CEO Gail Kelly said Cameron’s role would encompass the finance, risk and strategy functions.

Kelly paid tribute to the outgoing McKerihan, saying he had made a significant contribution over many years with St George.
