CBA unveils flat fee accounts
(24 May 2006 – Australia) Commonwealth Bank has launched two new flat monthly fee banking accounts – Streamline e-Access and Streamline Unlimited – that it said offered customers unlimited electronic and assisted transactions.
CBA group executive, Retail Banking Services, Michael Cameron said the two new accounts illustrated the bank’s commitment to offering customers more competitive services.
"We are also providing accessibility, convenience and value for money. Customers will now be able to choose how they access the banking services they need for a simple to understand and competitive monthly fee," he said.
Cameron said these new products along with the recent introduction of a low-rate credit card, removing some transaction fees on NetBank, and the trial of the PayPass card showed CBA had "heard our customers loud and clear when it comes to fees and services".
