Citi to beta bill payment aggregator Manilla

Citi to beta bill payment aggregator Manilla

(1 March 2011 – Global) Citibank is to participate in a beta roll-out of Manilla, a free personal account management service that helps consumers securely manage all of their household accounts including bills, finances, travel rewards programs and subscriptions in one place online. The Hearst-backed start-up offers users a personal dashboard providing an organised and current view of all of their account data without the need to remember multiple passwords.

With a single sign-on, Manilla gives customers an aggregated view of all their current account information, reminders to pay bills and free lifetime storage of all statements, notices, offers and bills.

The company is launching in a closed beta with support for four broad account categories: finance, household/bills, magazine subscriptions and travel rewards programmes.

Business partners in the roll-out include cable network Comcast and Citi Cards.

George Kliavkoff, CEO of Manilla said that the product serves as a powerful new way for businesses to communicate with their customers that is complementary to current online efforts and reduces the considerable costs that are spent on printed mail every day.
