Computer chaos hits CBA

(Australia) - A meltdown in the computer systems of the Commonwealth Bank of Australia plunged the bank into chaos on March 7. Queues snaked at branches, ATMs and EFTPOS machines in retail outlets after the computer glitch struck at about 12.45 pm, with the problem lasting about two hours.

Customers were limited to A$50 withdrawals and were blocked from internet banking.
