Credit Suisse’s new CEO begins

(2 February 2010 – Australia) David Trude, one of the longest-serving chief executives for the Australian operations of a global bank, has been officially succeeded by David Livingstone as CEO of Credit Suisse. Mr Trude, who has been with the investment bank for 26 years, will remain with Credit Suisse in an advisory role.

David Livingstone, previously a managing director of Credit Suisse’s European investment banking team, has been working with the banking veteran for the past few months during a transition period.

Mr Livingstone worked for Goldman Sachs for 16 years before joining Credit Suisse in 2007.

Upon Mr Livingstone beginning his new position, Credit Suisse also announced further management changes.

Ross Baildon, head of equity capital markets (ECM) division, located in Sydney, will relocate to the Hong Kong office to assume his new position of head of equity syndicate for non-Japan Asia.

Ian Arnold, who has remained with the bank for 20 years, will shift from Sydney to Melbourne to take on the role as head of ECM syndication.
