Cross to join NAB board

Cross to join NAB board

(10 August 2005 – Australia) National Australia Bank has appointed Patricia Cross as a non executive director, joining the board in December 2005. Cross has 25 years of experience in banking and finance and is currently a director of Qantas and Wesfarmers. She has previously worked at NAB as well as Chase Manhattan Bank and Banque Nationale de Paris.

NAB chairman Graeme Kraehe said Cross would make a great contribution to the bank given her experience as a non executive director and in corporate governance.

Kraehe is due to step down as NAB chairman in September and will be replaced by Wesfarmers chief executive and current NAB board member Michael Chaney.
