DBS to get new chairman
(6 October 2005 – Singapore) Singapore’s DBS has announced that Koh Boon Hwee will take over as chairman from 1 January 2006, replacing S. Dhanabalan.
Koh is an investor and entrepreneur and is currently chairman of Singapore Airlines, a post he will give up at the end of 2005.
Koh was managing director of Hewlett Packard in Singapore from 1985 to 1990 and executive chairman of the Wuthelam Group from 1991 to 2000, among other roles.
DBS said Dhanabalan wanted to give up the chairmanship to focus on his other chairman position at government investor Temasek Holdings.
