Deutsche Announces New Asia Head of Trade Finance and Lending

(10 July 2023 - Asia) Deutsche Bank has named Matthew Moodey as head of trade finance and lending in Asia Pacific.

He remains based in Singapore and reports to Ole Matthiessen, head of Deutsche’s corporate bank in APAC, and Atul Jain, global co-head of trade finance and lending.

Moodey has been with Deutsche Bank since 2007. Most recently he was the German lender’s head of trade finance lending for ASEAN and head of trade finance structuring for APAC.

Welcoming Moodey to the role, Jain says: “Be it continued supply chain diversification or increasing energy and infrastructure investment needs, there are large structural drivers supporting the growth of financing demand from global corporates in Asia Pacific.”

“Matthew’s leadership and structuring expertise will help us deliver the most thoughtful advice to our Global Hausbank clients on how best to identify, unlock, and maximise these transformative opportunities,” he adds.
