East & Partners bolsters advisory practice

(18 April 2007 – Australia) East & Partners has appointed Robert Morgan as senior consultant for the firm’s Client Advisory practice, responsible for developing and growing East’s advisory business. Morgan has joined East from PricewaterhouseCoopers where he was most recently leader of the firm’s Research & Analysis division, after initially joining the firm as senior analyst for its Banking and Capital Markets sector.

Before joining PwC, UK born Morgan spent 11 years with Fortune 500 company, The Compass Group.

During his time with Compass, he worked in the UK, Ireland, Brazil, Africa and the Middle East, managing major performance improvement projects, including the establishment of a market research function for the group’s Middle East & Africa divisions.

Morgan also project managed the roll out of a CRM system for Compass’s Central Europe business.

"I’m very excited to have joined East & Partners, it’s a great opportunity for me to work with a firm which has a very positive reputation in the banking and financial services industry, with an excellent product and capabilities," Morgan said.

"We’re very happy to have someone of Robert’s attributes and experience join East to help us continue growing our advisory practice and enhance the value we bring to our clients," East & Partners chief analytics officer Paul Bartholomew said.

The move follows last month’s appointment of Damien Bechly as head of Research Sales.
