Exim Bank Malaysia to disperse billions in loans this year
(17 May 2012 – Malaysia) Exim Bank Malaysia has approved a deal to disburse RM800 million (A$261 million) in loans as of April.
Managing director and chief executive Datuk Adissadikin Ali said this is in line with the bank's target to disburse loans totalling RM1.5 billion this year.
He said that this shows a lot of Malaysian companies are going overseas.
'Construction companies are bidding for big projects overseas,' he said at the signing of a facility agreement between Malakoff, Exim Bank and Mizuho Corporate Bank here today.
Exim Bank would normally partner with foreign banks in providing financing.
