Head-hunters snap up talent
(25 May 2010 – Australia) Head hunters in the investment banking world are ramping up the pace, resulting in UBS losing its prized infrastructure and utilities analyst Scott Kelly to Morgan Stanley.
Working in Martin Yule’s equities research team Mr Kelly is believed to be joining Morgan Stanley in a similar position to the one he held at UBS.
A junior building analyst for UBS has also reportedly resigned to join Morgan Stanley’s private equity team.
Rothschild’s is also mourning the lost of an experienced team member after Bank of America-Merrill Lynch secured David Wood to join its investment banking team in Sydney.
Mr Wood has advised natural resources clients in Australia and internationally for more than 10 years on mergers and acquisitions.
As investment banking talent becomes more a more sort after commodity head hunters are believed to be calling banks daily to secure new recruits for their clients.
