HSBC appoints new head of Custody Sales and Relationship Development
(10 May 2011 – Australia) HSBC Bank Australia appointed Robert Brown as head of Custody Sales and Relationship Development for HSBC Securities Services.
The role is responsible for managing relationships with HSBC’s large custody client base and ensuring the delivery of global technology solutions from throughout the HSBC network.
HSBC head of Securities Services in Australia Andrew Bastow said Mr Brown combined extensive custody and financial services experience with strong relationship management skills and deep local market knowledge.
Brown has more than 25 years experience in the financial services industry. He was previously director and principal consultant at Alford Brown and Associates and, prior to this, held senior executive positions at Ausmaq, National Australia Bank, the Commonwealth Bank of Australia and State Street Australia.
Brown succeeds John Butler who has been appointed head of Sales and Relationship Management, Sub-Custody and Clearing, for HSBC in Singapore.
