HSBC finds new CFO in the US
(8 February 2008 – Australia) HSBC has appointed a new Chief Financial Officer, John McKenna, the former CFO of HSBC’s banking operations in the US.
McKenna, who has also worked for HSBC in Mexico, will be responsible for all of HSBC Australia’s financial management, including its local financial control, taxation, regulatory, capital and management reporting activities.
HSBC Australia CEO, Stuart Davis, said that McKenna’s financial experience will play an important role in the globally connected company.
He commented that with this global connectivity comes a range of international reporting structures to navigate different regulatory and economic regimes across the globe.
The former HSBC Australia CFO, Michael Bencsik, will move into his new role within HSBC Group's recently established Group International Management Office in the UK.
McKenna had been in the role of CFO of HSBC USA since 2005.
