ING offers overseas transfers
(15 October 2009 – Australia) ING Direct customers will be able to transfer money internationally through a new partnership with online currency trader OzForex.
Customers of ING’s new Orange Everyday account will be able to move funds 24 hours a day in a new online platform powered by OzForex.
Neil Helm, chief executive, OzForex, said that the partnership supported the increase in financial institutions outsourcing specific services and functions to specialist providers.
The foreign exchange provider highlighted that with globalisation, the need for people to transfer money overseas is becoming an everyday event used by individuals and companies around the world.
One in ten ING customers have said that they would regularly use the international transfer service.
Don Koch, chief executive, ING Direct, said that the bank considers OzForex to be a natural partner for the financial institution.
The exchange specialist mirrors ING’s principles through their technology, high standards of customer service and competitive rates, Mr Koch added.
