ING to open Chinese life insurance business
(4th November 2003 – Europe) ING is set to launch a new life insurance business in Beijing within the next few months.
The Dutch banking giant has applied for a licence to begin operating in the Chinese capital, saying it expects the new business to make a profit next year.
The bank also plans to expand its asset management business in China and open another mutual fund in that country.
