JP Morgan hires new head

(15 January 2010 – USA) JP Morgan has appointed Barclays Capital’s Frank Troise as their new global head of equities electronic client solutions. The role, based in New York, will see Mr Troise oversee the bank’s electronic trading business including product management, distribution, direct market access, algorithmic trading, electronic liquidity management and market structure.

Mr Troise will report to Carlos Hernandez, global head of equities, Mr Hernandez said that Mr Troise has tremendous experience in the electronic markets and has been at the forefront of delivering client solutions in this evolving space.

Previously Mr Troise was the head of equities electronic trading product at Barclays Capital and has also had positions with Lehman Brothers and ITG.

The acquisition of Mr Troise is part of JP Morgan’s effort to focus on its electronic trading business and follows two other appointments. Michael Green was names head of equities in Tokyo and electronic client solutions in Asia, and Olushola Olateju now leads the global e-trading team.
