Mac Banker caught in scandal

(4 February 2010 – Australia) Macquarie Bank has issued a statement saying that the bank has strict technology policies, after a banker was caught looking at semi-nude pictures of an Australian supermodel in the background of a live interview. Martin Lakos, private wealth advisor for Macquarie Bank, was being interviewed by the broadcaster Seven News about the Reserve Bank’s decision to keep interest rates steady.

The interview goes smoothly until a bank employee in the background opens an email and proceeds to peruse through several pictures of Victoria’s Secret model, Miranda Kerr.

Another employee then seems to warn the man about the live interview being conducted.

The bank issued a statement to the Australian newspaper stating that Macquarie Bank considers matters such as the unacceptable use of technology as extremely serious.

The bank continues by saying that they have strict policies in place surrounding the use of technology and the issue arising from today's live cross on Seven News is being dealt with internally.
