Macquarie focuses on broker support

(30 October 2010 – Australia) Macquarie Group has announced extra support for the broker channel by expanding its BDM team, after formally re-entering the market in July this year. Frank Ganis, executive director for Macquarie, said that the bank was committed to improving its broker service proposition.

Macquarie has already announced the newest BDM Marilyn Pratt, who previously worked for Macquarie before the bank had to reduce its mortgage operations in 2008.

Mr Ganis welcomed Ms Pratt back and commented on the important role she will play in ensuring mortgage brokers in Western Australia receive the highest level of service from Macquarie.

"We are delighted to have Marilyn back on board at Macquarie. Bringing the right people into our BDM team is a critical element of our service proposition to brokers," Mr Ganis said.
