More IT expertise at ANZ

(3 February 2004 – Australia) Just months after replacing its chief information officer, ANZ has appointed international technology expert Greg Clark to its Board of Directors. Originally from Tasmania, Clark is principal of Clark Capital Partners, a US based firm that advises internationally on technology issues, and has extensive expertise on microelectronics, computing and communications.

ANZ chairman Charles Goode said Clark would assist the board in its "deliberations on technology" which is "one of the major opportunities and challenges facing banking in the 21st century".

It will be interesting to see how Clark will work with new CIO Mike Grime, who replaced American David Boyles last year.

Clark was also previously president and chief operating officer of Loral Space and Communications as well as executive committee member of News Corporation and president of News Technology Group, among other roles.
