Morgan Stanley loses head of wealth

(13 April 2010 – Asia) Morgan Stanley has lost its head of private wealth management, as DBS announces the appointment of Tan Su Shan as the bank’s new group head of DBS Group Holdings’ private banking and asset management business. Ms Tan will report to her old Citi colleague, DBS’s chief executive Piyush Guptajoin and joins the bank on the 1st July from Morgan Stanley Singapore, where she was most recently head of private wealth management for South-east Asia.

Ms Tan succeeds Ms Amy Yip, who will remain as chief executive of DBS Hong Kong.

Mr Gupta said in a statement that he believes Ms Tans’s extensive experience positions her well to lead this effort and take DBS Private Banking and DBS Asset Management to the next level.
