NAB appoints former BoA man
(8 February 2010 – Australia) Michael Chaney, chairman, National Australia Bank, has announced the appointment of Anthony Yuen as a non-executive director of the National Australia Bank Limited’s board.
Mr Yuen’s appointment, effective 1st March 2010, will provide valuable insights and perspective for the board as a result of his experience at two major banks, Mr Chaney said.
Mr Yuen worked for Bank of America for 25 years in Hong Kong and Canada in a range of senior financial markets and treasury roles culminating in his appointment as managing director and head of Asia Foreign Exchange Trading & Sales for Bank of America.
In 1999, Mr Yuen went on to join National Westminster Bank as regional managing director and Asia treasurer.
Following the National Westminster Bank merger with Royal Bank of Scotland in 2000 Mr Yuen was appointed head of Corporate Banking & Financial Markets, Asia Pacific, for Royal Bank of Scotland.
In 2006 he was appointed group managing director, Asia Pacific, for Royal Bank of Scotland.
Mr Yuen adds further depth of experience in the important areas of financial markets and treasury, Mr Chaney highlighted.
