NAB ATM’s go wireless
(21 April 2008 – Australia) NAB and Telstra have announced a partnership to offer ATM’s at temporary locations using wireless technology.
The joint initiative will focus on the rapid deployment of ATMs at temporary locations including sporting events in particular.
NAB’s will look to leverage its new deployment of ATMs in combination with Telstra’s new wireless network.
Deals have already been done for the Royal Melbourne Show in September this year followed by the Bathurst 1000 in October.
Telstra's group managing director of enterprise and government, David Thodey, said that the formalised partnership follows a pilot undertaken at the Formula One Grand Prix where customer uptake was very high.
There are also plans for the Gold Coast Indy in October, the Moto GP in February, 2009 and the Avalon Air Show in March, 2009.
