NAB nabs leadership award

NAB nabs leadership award

(3 May 2010 – Australia) Financial services group, CANSTAR CANNEX, has presented its first Banking Leadership Award to the National Bank of Australia saying that has ‘blown the banking world apart’ for the scrapping dreaded customer fees. The award was in recognition of the A$110 million worth of profits the bank was set to receive from its customers as a result of the fees.

NAB's action over the past eight months deserves to be acknowledged and applauded for its boldness and far-reaching effects, the financial services group said.

NAB has 'blown the banking world apart' with its sudden announcement to scrap the things customers and businesses hate most about banks - fees, CANSTAR CANNEX Head of Research, Steve Mickenbecker said.

It's not just the odd token fee either. Some customers can operate fee free, and almost all will see some saving to their bottom line, Mr Mickenbecker added.
