NAB's IMS division gets new identity

NAB’s IMS division gets new identity

(4 October 2006 – Australia) National Australia Bank has unveiled a new logo and "brand identity" for its Institutional Markets & Services division. The division will be known as nabCapital in all of the markets the bank operates in – Australia, Asia, the UK and US – except New Zealand where it will continue to operate under the Bank of New Zealand moniker.

nabCapital chief executive John Hooper said the business had been given a distinct brand identity as opposed to being merely a divisional name.

"It reflects our evolving focus as a capital markets and relationship banking business and it makes a clear statement about what we bring to our clients and our people, and how we’re backing them to succeed," he said.

Hooper said the division had "sharpened the focus" of its regional operations and had reorganised the business to better originate, warehouse and distribute debt and risk management products.

NAB group chief executive John Stewart said there was growing "confidence and maturity" about nabCapital and the contribution it was making to the bank’s turnaround program.
