New CEO and new division for HBOS Australia
(4 May 2005 – Australia) HBOS Australia has appointed Paul Clark as chief executive officer of its newly created business banking division.
The bank has split its corporate division into two parts with Clark heading up the business banking side which will operate as BankWest, and CEO Jack Dykes heading the corporate business under the BOS International brand.
HBOS Australia chief executive David Willis said creating a separate business banking division would enable the bank to accelerate its product and service offering with expertise and resources aimed at specific customer segments.
"It has become clear that to really take advantage of the many opportunities to grow our business we need a sharp focus of people, infrastructure and systems in these areas," Willis said.
Clark was most recently general manager, Business Financial Services at National Australia Bank.
"The business banking market is very competitive but I believe there are many opportunities for a group such as HBOS to offer customers a clear alternative," he said.
