New head of private banking for StanChart

New head of private banking for StanChart

(5 May 2010 – Hong Kong) Peter Flavel has been appointed head of Standard Chartered’s private bank, becoming global head for personal banking and responsible for US$35Bn in customer assets. At the same time, Shayne Nelson, currently the Bank’s regional CEO for its Middle East/North Africa territories, is replacing Flavel as private bank head in Singapore, with both reporting into Steve Bertamini, consumer banking CEO.

Personal banking accounts for over 50 per cent of consumer banking revenues for the Bank.
