New MD for Esanda
(29 October 2008 – Australia) ANZ has announced the appointment of Moray McDonald to the role of Managing Director of Esanda.
Mr Moray McDonald, will report to ANZ group managing director, Commercial Banking, Mr David Hisco. Mr Hisco previously held the role of Esanda Managing Director.
McDonald has more than 20 years of experience in the areas of secured, consumer, auto and commercial finance in the UK, Spain, Portugal and Australia.
His most recent role was as the managing director of Diners Club Australia.
Commercial Banking group MD, Hisco, said that Moray’s breadth of experience across geographies and markets will be valuable assets to both Esanda and the wider ANZ.
In the announcement, McDonald highlighted the strong market position of Esanda in asset finance and the backing of a AA rated bank in the form of ANZ.
McDonald also said that Esanda was well placed to take advantage of the likes of GE and GMAC exiting the motor finance industry in Australia.
He said that such opportunities will help selectively grow the business.
McDonald is based in Melbourne and has already commenced his role.
