New NAB appointees to focus on integration
(28 September 2004 – Australia) National Australia Bank has unveiled its latest tranche of senior managerial appointments as the bank seeks to integrate the Australian business.
NAB has appointed Ewen Stafford as chief financial officer, reporting to Group CFO Michael Ullmer. Stafford is currently CFO of Wealth Management.
George Frazis is the new head of Business Development, picking up the reins on November 8. Frazis was formerly with the Commonwealth Bank’s Institutional & Business Services division, responsible for SME banking, regional corporates, agribusiness and private banking.
NAB chief executive officer Ahmed Fahour has gone back to a former employer, Boston Consulting, to find the bank’s new head of Strategy & Marketing, Greg. Sutherland.
Sutherland has been with Boston Consulting since 1992, based in the US for the past two years.
The fourth appointment is Kevin Turnbull, formerly with Hutchison Telecom, who is the new head of Operational Integration, reporting to Sutherland.
Fahour said the appointees would be crucial to developing and implementing NAB’s integration plans and creating a more customer focused operation in Australia.
