St George extends lines to 24/7

(15 March 2010 – Australia) St George Bank announced last week that it has extended the bank’s Customer Contact Centre (CCC) hours to 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Greg Bartlett, chief executive officer, St George Bank, said that they are excited to be able to expand the phone banking service so that customers will always be able to speak directly with a St George’s staff member about their banking needs.

The extended service hours will provide customers with around the clock support for requests such as account balance enquiries, bill payments and general banking enquiries.

However, the bank said in its statement, customers with more complex banking enquiries such as loan applications and new account openings can access customer assistance between 8am and 8pm.

Andrew Moore, managing director, St George Southern NSW, said that the change in availability will also provide more flexible working options for the Kogarah Customer Contact Centre team and is another investment by the bank into the Kogarah heartland.
